Get around without the stress
Bus logic, taxi ranges, and walkable pockets — the stuff generic maps leave out when you are already on Rhodes and need to move.
Rhodes Town → Lindos bus
KTEL buses run often through the day. Buy a ticket before boarding when the booth is open.
From the central bus station near the New Market. Expect 50–70 minutes depending on stops. Last useful return is earlier than nightlife hours, so plan the night bus or a shared taxi back.
Taxi meter rule of thumb
Ask for the meter or agree a fixed price before doors close.
Town hops should feel short. Airport and Lindos runs are commonly quoted fixed. If a quote feels inflated at night, walk 2 minutes and try another stand.
Old Town on foot
Inside the walls, walking beats any vehicle.
Alleys are narrow, shaded, and slow for cars. Use Mandraki / harbour edge as your north reference and the main gates as exits.
Town ↔ Faliraki
Frequent coastal buses; taxis are faster after midnight.
Daytime buses are fine. After club hours, buses thin out and shared taxis become the practical move.
Airport transfers
Airport to Rhodes Town is a short fixed hop.
Buses exist but taxis win with luggage or late arrivals. Confirm destination as Rhodes Town / Old Town gate, not a random hotel desk detour.
